Do you have pictures from your childhood that are only in print? It’s time to get a digital scan of those old memories and this scanner will get the job done!
It’s the Plustek Photo Scanner ePhoto Z300.
Here are the things I love about this scanner:
- It has a feeder, so it’s quicker than using a flatbed scanner
- It produces good quality scans
- It has a sleek design and is small enough to be portable
- It is the most affordable feeder scanner dedicated to scanning photos
- You can also scan other papers, like receipts
Tips for getting the best scan with the Plustek Photo Scanner:
This scanner is super easy to set up, however make sure you adjust settings to 600DPI for scan quality. That will give you a better quality than the factory settings.
Put your photographs in order before you scan them.
Save the photographs to an external hard drive. Photo files can take up a lot of space on a computer. Saving them to your desktop or on your computer could eventually start to bog down your computer.
Another Scanner Option To Check Out
I love this scanner because it has a photo feeder. It allows you to scan stacks of photographs at one a time. I have found it to be the quickest and easiest way to get digital copies of old photographs and to get photo organized!
Another great option is this Epson FastFoto scanner. This scanner offers the same functions at the Plustek, plus some… And a price tag to reflect the “plus some”
This Epson scanner will scan stacks of photographs at one time, so it is even faster. It will also color correct the pictures and make them look even better than when they started, however the down side is definitely the price. It is more expensive. So the old adage, you get what you pay for is true here for sure.
The most important thing is to make sure you are getting a safe and secure back up of all of those old print photographs, no matter how you do it!
