Do you have photos all over the place? Like maybe a few of these locations:
DVDs, CDs, flash drives, memory cards, old phones, old computers, external hard drives
Wouldn’t it be great to consolidate all of that into one neat place? It’s easier than you think! Here is how I suggest getting that done!
- The first step is to just collect everything into one place. It’s that simple. Make a designated spot for all of those items. As you locate more, add them to the group.
- Make sure you still have the capability to view those items on your computer. Can you still read those old CDs? Do you have a memory card slot for each type of memory card? If not, there are inexpensive gadgets to hook up to any computer to get those pictures transferred over.
Here are the gadgets I suggest for moving photos from various devices to your computer:

Once you have the necessary gadget, you can start to move your photos to your computer. I suggest connecting an external hard drive to your computer so that big group of photos doesn’t eat up too much space and start to slow down the operation of your computer. Here is the external hard drive that I use:
Spending just a few minutes a day on this project is plenty. Often the process of moving the photos is just a matter of waiting for your computer to do the work, so it’s definitely easy to spend just 10 minutes a day on it. Just get it started then walk away from and let your computer do its thing!
Where are most of your photos? Are they in multiple locations too? If you are struggling to get started be sure and follow along on Instagram and YouTube. I have lots of ideas and inspiration to make that an easy task!
