It’s happening! The Great Photo Voyage is a photo organizing workshop happening at sea! Mollie from Pixologie and I are co-hosting this unforgettable experience, and whether you’re a total photo nerd like me or just want to finally tackle that digital mess on your phone, this trip is for you.
I have had a few people reach out with questions and I thought these answers may just be helpful for you too!
1. Is this a group cruise or is it classes too?
It’s all of the above! It is definitely not your average cruise – It’s like a cruise plus!! It’s a chance to learn how to organize, back up, and protect your photo collection while sailing to beautiful destinations. Through fun, relaxed morning classes onboard, we’ll walk you through proven systems and easy tools that can turn photo overwhelm into peace of mind. You’ll leave with a plan and maybe even a few new friends.
2. I haven’t done anything with my photos! Can I do this even if I haven’t started?
This cruise is for anyone who feels like their photo life is a little (or a lot) chaotic. Whether you’re drowning in digital photos, have boxes of old prints stashed in a closet, or just want to preserve your family’s legacy, you’ll find help here. No tech experience required! We’re all about kindness, patience, and fun – so don’t worry if you have no idea where to start! We will guide you!
3. When and where does the cruise take place?
The Great Photo Voyage sets sail on February 16, 2026 from Miami, Florida on Royal Caribbean. You’ll enjoy tropical ports, sunshine, and plenty of time to relax between classes. It’s the perfect mid-winter escape!
4. What is included in the workshop?
So much! Here’s a look at some of the topics we’ll cover:
- Pre-cruise prep session via Zoom (recorded if you can’t make it live)
- Getting your photo system organized
- Scanning, labeling, and storing print photos
- Managing digital photo chaos
- Cloud storage vs. hard drives
- How to take better photos with your phone
- AND a fun goodie bag and t-shirt
You’ll get helpful handouts, tools, and personalized guidance throughout.
And THEN you’ll also also have lots of time to enjoy the beauty of a cruise vacation! We will have our afternoons free to explore the ports, enjoy the ship and even spark up some meaningful conversations with fellow photo lovers!
5. What do I need to bring with me?
Just your favorite device – whether that’s a laptop, tablet, or phone. We will go over all of the details in our pre-cruise meeting. But mostly just come ready for a fun time!
6. Can I bring a friend or family member who doesn’t want to attend the classes?
Absolutely! The cruise is open to everyone, and we’ve made it easy to attend with a spouse, sister, or friend who just wants to relax and skip the workshop. Only those who register for the classes will be part of the learning sessions, but everyone can enjoy the trip together.
7. Is there a limited number of spots available?
Unfortunately yes. They have reserved a great room for us to work in as a group, but it is a smaller space so we are limited on how many can attend.
8. How do I sign up and what does it cost?
Spots are limited, so if you are interested definitely sign up today. A smaller deposit will hold the cabin for you. To grab your cabin and workshop registration, head here.
